Our first camp fire on the beach!
During the winter, debris from everywhere washes up on this beach. Looking very much like a tourist destination for the summer, I'm sure someone cleans this up. But for those who winter here, it is a treasure hunt of oddities.
I counted at least 9 propane tanks, a couple tires, lots of driftwood and many, many odd articles that landed here during off season.
The captain and his sons had gathered a large stack of wood to have a campfire and chose tonight.
Under the clear starry sky, between the lapping waves our fire roared as a beacon across the gulf to several coastal towns that lay along the mountains this beach faces.
